The Pitch Episode 16:
Sign Off With Full Signature

Read:

If you are pitching someone, your contact details should be easily accessible and visible with every pitch. The easiest way to ensure this happens is to set up an automatic full signature for your email on all your devices. It baffles me how many people don’t take advantage of this simple tech tool. I’ve actually had people submit resumes to me and I’ve not hired them because tracking down their phone number took too much time in my busy day. Nothing is more frustrating for the person being pitched than to NOT have all contact info at their fingertips at all times. Before you pitch, explore your email settings and set up an automated signature that includes a proper sign off, your full name, your most direct phone number, your email address and any other pertinent information such as a website or link to your professional social media profiles. “The Pitch” challenge today: Sync up your full signature to all your devices that have the ability to send email. If you are not using a professional email platform such as Mail for MAC or Outlook for PC, perhaps it is time to upgrade your email and take advantage of these professional tools available to make you more accessible when someone decides to respond to your pitch.
