The goal of the series is not to solve universal problems that cannot be fixed. Rather, the goal is to engage in informed conversations around contentious topics, in order to learn from the experiences of others better ways to approach, respond and communicate. When individuals, groups, and masses come into conflict, channels of communication must be opened to provide information necessary to understand each other and find solutions. Traditional mentorship would require years of relationship building to hear some of the advice you can hear now from a diverse group of professionals who are tackling “ism” topics that are uncomfortable to discuss like racism and sexism, in these “Go Deeper” INICIVOX® seminar series.

This inaugural INICIVOX® seminar series featured accomplished professionals and alumni providing insights from diverse perspectives on the topic of racism. In 2021, the “Elephant in the Room” Racism Series received the PR News award for Best Diversity & Inclusion Campaign.

“Identifying the Elephant In the Room: Critical Communication Strategies in the Face of Sexism,” was tailored to professionals in the natural products industry. This second installment of the INICIVOX® seminar series was designed to raise awareness and foster discussion on countering traditional gender stereotypes that discriminate against, devalue or limit professional opportunities. In 2023, the “Elephant in the Room” Sexism Series received the Education Award from the Nutrition Business Journal.
