The Pitch Episode 40:
Do this Monday, and by Friday You’ll Thank Yourself

Read:

Without goals it’s easy to get lost. Long-term goals, short-term goals and even weekly goals can keep your pitching plan on track, while providing a roadmap to each day. Before you start your pitching week, write out your weekly pitch goals. What do you want to accomplish by the end of your five-day workweek? How many calls do you need to make? How many deals do you need to close? How many cold leads do you need to unearth? Then begin to work backwards in the week. If these are your five-day goals, what must be done by day four? Day three? Day two? And what do you need to accomplish on day one? By taking the time to break it down like this each week you will find that you are hitting your monthly goals with ease. “The Pitch” challenge today: Set aside 30 minutes every Monday morning to strategize your week. Make this a recurring appointment in your calendar at the same time every Monday morning. While it may seem like a waste of time, when you are anxious to dive into your work, taking the time to get organized in this way will make you more productive and focused all week and you will not lose time each morning trying to figure out where to get started. Then by Friday, when you meet your weekly goals with ease, you’ll be thanking yourself.
