Stepping out from my remote office and onto the road for the LIFT Media Tour in Washington, D.C. gave me a whole new appreciation for what it takes to execute a successful PR campaign. From early mornings and last-minute pivots to moving between studios, I got to experience firsthand the organization and effort that goes into media tours and TV production.
I’m so grateful to learn alongside my mentor Amy Summers, who included me in every part of the process — from helping shape talking points to contributing creative ideas throughout the tour. I even received a personal shoutout during her live interview on FOX TV “Good Day DC”!
One of my favorite moments from the trip was creating and directing our social media skit that showcased Touchpoint Six: Delegate MSH-Style in action after we had to pivot from an in-studio setup to a TV-ready Zoom meeting inside the Marriott boardroom. I had so much fun creating content for Pitch and further developing my video production skills.
Getting to be part of LIFT Media Tour taught me that problem-solving and adaptability are the name of the game in PR and this experience truly reaffirmed that I am exactly where I’m supposed to be.
